By C. Wiegand Purchased these for my son who suffers from Raynaud's syndrome, a hyper-sensitivity to cold. Unitll we had these he was warming his hands on the tea kettle. These he can take with him everywhere and get releif. Heard about them from a golfer, but works great for our application

Perfect for warmth Sep 14, 2005

Went to playoff Packers-Eagles game in Philly 2 years ago. It was a brutally cold day. Though, I was wearing long underwear, wool hat, gloves, parka, etc...I was woefully cold. It was awful.
My buddy brought 5 of these heat max warmers. He shared 2 of them with me...and they literally saved my hands. They were perfect...you just slide it into your glove or underneath your sock...and it will keep you warm in a way that even goretex gloves can't.
Since then, I have kept a few as "reserves" in my down jacket. Sometimes use them at a cold baseball game, or while skiing.
Can't go into winter without them.

"Don't put your cold hands on me!" (recommended) Feb 24, 2007
By K. Williams If your mate has ever complained about your cold hands, you need HOT HANDS. My hands get cold -- very cold -- even in mild weather. Besides keeping a pair of gloves in coat pockets and cars, there has been little relief. When the whether gets bad, I would stay in the house and submerge my hands in warm water. Then I received a set of hand warmers as a thank-you gift from a supplier. I never heard of such a thing! Where has this been all my life?
It takes 15-30 minutes of exposure to air (outside the sealed package) to reach maximum temperature. It is best to keep the 2" x 3" odorless pads in a glove or pocket where the heat is less prone to dissipate. Without HOT HANDS, even fur lined gloves would not warm my cold hands since the fur only insulates the existing temperature (like a thermos). By radiating heat within the glove and making a fist to reach fingertips, it doesn't take long for hands to feel warmer.
Pad temperature is is mostly just above normal body temperature (perhaps 100 degrees f). The pad can get extremely warm (perhaps 125+ degrees) after remaining in a pocket for a length of time. Periodically pulling open a glove at the wrist to let some fresh air in and squeezing a fist several times also reactivates more heat. After about 10-12 hours the heat is all gone and the pads can be discarded. If you need to rely on manual dexterity for typing or turning pages, you may be able to get by with just one pad at a time and no glove -- switching hands when necessary. Since they are individually wrapped, there is no waste.
I am truly thankful for discovering such a wonderful product. So as not to run out, I purchased a second box after trying just one pad. Now, in addition to gloves, I have HOT HANDS everywhere, even in my night stand for cold evenings.

Someone here is taking your money. Dec 23, 2006

I've used these on rides and I keep packs in my saddlebags all year long year to distribuate to other riders when we get caught, because we believed the weather person that day.
Where we live, we can purchased these at the checkout line at "WallyWorld" at 4 pairs of hand warmers in a pack for $1.24 or 6 pairs of feet warmers for the same price. If not at checkout go to the hunting section. I sometimes take a pair when walking, or give them to my peers at work, because you never know what the temp. will be in the office.
Just do the math, if you can find them at Walmart. Thank you

These really work! Dec 03, 2006

I live in the Pacific Northwest, and my husband is a Carpenter. He suffered a massive heart attack a year ago September, and we were worried that he wouldn't be able to continue his trade anymore - particularly because the winters here in Washington are absolutely frigid. For Christmas last year, I purchased a case of the HeatMax HotHands-2 warmers for him. It was the single best Christmas present I could've bought for him. They keep his hands warm (he even puts them in his socks to keep his feet warm!) for hours, and now everybody on his construction crew is buying them. Productivity is up on the job site, and even better, my husband doesn't come home from work all grouchy because he's so cold!
By the way - even our children use these hand warmers! Our daughters put them into their pockets and gloves, and when they're at school on the playground, or standing in line waiting to go in from recess, their hands are kept nice and toasty!
What an excellent product!!
