4Great for Seagate!  Oct 14, 2011 By Darren Priest
Had been looking for a pentalobe screwdriver for ages so that I could take apart a Seagate external hardrive, but other pentalobes were far too small, being primarily designed for Apple products. These are a larger size, just under 3mm across.

4fits Seagate Pushbutton Backup case screws, but handles are small  Oct 07, 2011 By Nom de Gruyere
I bought these screwdrivers to remove the Security Torx Plus 5-point screws from the case of my Seagate Pushbutton Backup external disk drive. The drivers work perfectly for this application. The shaft is long enough to reach down into the recess and the tip fits in the head of the screws with no detectable free-play.

What size is this tool?
I believe it is IPR10. I measured the tip of the 5-point driver at 2.75mm at the widest point. I then measured two standard 6-point Torx T-10 bits and they were both 2.70mm at the widest point. Of course comparing a 5-point pattern to a 6-point pattern will be inexact, but I measured a T-8 bit at 2.45mm, so I am fairly confident these Silverhill drivers are size 10.

Why did I give the product only 4 stars?
These drivers are advertised as tools for disassembling early model Leatherman Wave tools which have 5-point Security Torx Plus fasteners. I own several models of Leatherman tool (which are excellent products BTW), but not the Wave with 5-point fasteners, so I can not try these drivers for their intended use. In spite of the good luck I had with my Seagate drive, I deducted a star because the handles of these tools are quite small: less than 3/4" in diameter by 2 5/8" long. Such a small handle will make it difficult to apply much torque. If the fasteners in your Leatherman are cinched down tight you may have trouble loosening them. This might not be an issue if the screws adjust the tightness of the blades in the handle. However, Leatherman may have used a shoulder bolt to prevent the case from being squeezed until the blades won't open, and in that case the factory could have torqued the screws very tightly to prevent them coming loose and having the tool fall apart at an inopportune moment. If someone has actually used these to take apart a Wave perhaps they will share their experience. All I can say for certain is that if I had to use these drivers on a regular basis I would appreciate bigger handles.

4Solved my Seagate drive problem  Oct 20, 2011 By Davis Foulger
If you are looking for a Torx TS10 Security screwdriver (five pointed star with pinhole), this is it, especially if you are looking to open a Seagate external drive case. Magnetic bits are too big and vendors who are selling TR10 (Torx Tamper Resistant 6 point star bits) as TS10 (Torx Security bits) are misleading you.

The product description for this product could be usefully updated. I would have saved several weeks of working through solutions that didn't work if this product was better described.

4Will work on Seagate External Hard Drives  Oct 18, 2011 By Minion
I needed a pentalobular screwdriver to open a Seagate External HDD (specifically a Seagate 9W6044). I looked all over the place for a tool that could do this. This tool was able to unscrew the 5 point screws. I don't know what else I will use it for, but at this price (compared to secure torx sets at a much higher price point that could not get to the screw), I don't mind buying it for a single job. Long story short, this tool will open a Seagate 9W6044 External Hard Drive.

5What size is this 5 Point security driver?  Jul 12, 2009 By Bdubslawman
NOT A PROPER REVIEW:

Hey,
I'm looking for (i believe a TS20) which is a Five Point security tipped driver with the hole for the security pin.

The other person selling Leatherman Tools (although they are 6 Point & these are 5 Point) says his is a T 10.

Please update as to the size
