3No other options trumps poor quality asurance  May 10, 2010 By Michael Jackson "-Mike"
Be warned - Silverhill apparently cares little for quality control. Two of my bits came deformed, though not to the point I couldn't use them. I'd say "you get what you pay for" but even then you should expect at least SOME quality control. Also, I know this is listed in the product description, but as I failed to see it I'll pass it along to you: 3 of the bits are duplicates. That's right, you're only getting 7 unique bits (and even then, I SWEAR the TS15 and TS20 are exactly identical in my set).

That said, for $10 you could do worse and they're right here (and the ONLY set) on Amazon. They work, just don't expect much ;)

Oh, one last thing - If you're using these to adjust the pivot screw on the first gen Leatherman Wave, don't forget you'll need two sets: 1 TS10 for each side of the tool.

2Barely gets the job done  Dec 14, 2011 By David T. Alexander
These bits are not made to very high standards, the material seems soft, the holes aren't all properly centered, and I am not sure if it is because the holes are off center or not, but some of them seem to be to small, making so you have to force the bit hard down into the screw head for it to work and then pry the bit out of the screw once it is off.

5Exactly what I needed.  Aug 20, 2011 By M. W.
Great product! These type of tamper proof bit sets are hard to find. If you own a German vehicle, you might want to pick up a set.

2not made correctly  Jul 18, 2010 By Steve Rojas "Lwood"
i didn't use all the bits, only one actually, bit 15, the size was off. it was a little bigger.. i know because i have a snag-on socket version. it works perfect. when i wanted to do the same job with silverhill bit. it wouldn't go into the screw. I had to force it in.

3You get what you pay for...  Jul 22, 2011 By J. Canning "Renaissance Man"
Not many applications take these bits, but when you need to work on something with this kind of bit, these are probably the only ones you'll find on amazon. And that's where I had to turn since no hardware store seems to carry these - mass market or specialty store. These being the only option on Amazon, I gave them a shot.

The quality of the bits leaves something to be desired. The security pin-hole in the middle is asymmetric on several of the bits. Not to the point that they were nonfunctional in my application, but if the tolerances are tight on something you're working on, you may end up having to tap out the center more yourself. A couple of the blades seemed a bit wider than the others on a couple of the bits as well.

The quality of the metal it self seems like it might be soft. I haven't seen one sheer off or shatter, but I have had bit in the past that looked of the same quality and type of metal and they broke under only moderate load. Once again, I have NOT seen one of THESE fail, but I have had ones that appeared of the same make fail.

As mentioned in a previous post, the sizing is not perfect either. The nice thing on these bits is there tends to be a little forgiveness between sizes, so long as you aren't working a high-torque application, you can use an off-size and possibly get away with it.

Overall, if you are working on something like a hard drive or a leather-man, this should work fine for you, but if you are working on something that is very exacting or with high torque (relatively) I would be cautious.
